Terry Slattery Speaking at Interop Las Vegas 2014

Terry Slattery, Principal Consultant at Chesapeake NetCraftsmen and CCIE #1026, will be a speaker at Interop on Friday April 4, 2014

His session will be on “Optimize Your Network for Real-Time Apps”.

Are you concerned that ad hoc, unmanaged video traffic is lurking on your network, ready to blow up the network’s ability to deliver mission-critical app performance? How do you troubleshoot for packet loss and other problems that can plague real-time traffic and can crop up unexpectedly? And how might the trend toward virtualizing real-time applications affect their performance—and how do you adjust for it?

In this session, Terry Slattery builds on his popular Interop session, “How to Keep Video from Blowing up Your Network,” taking it to the next level: How to make sure your real-time applications are protected from the most common problems that can beset performance. You’ll get a rich mini-tutorial in building and maintaining IP networks that can handle real-time traffic, with real-world examples and key tips to take away.
