A few weeks ago in Cisco VCS Clustering Configuration, I wrote about configuring and initializing a Cisco Video Communication Server (VCS) cluster. When running a VCS cluster, some consideration needs to be given to the endpoint configuration parameters for client registration. Providing a fault-tolerant solution for client registration and re-registration should be a critical element of any production VCS design. To help clarify the process, I put together a technical article on Managing Device Registrations to a Clustered VCS that discusses several approaches for managing SIP and H.323 device registrations to a clustered VCS.
